How to stimulate children`s innovative competences through music and working together with professional musicians and composers?
The course is a result of the project "Small Composers`Workshop" - a development work at the University College South from 2006-2008. The project has been supported by the Danish Ministry of Culture and a Danish foundation on innovation. www.selvstaendighedsfonden.dk
- How to use the music as a tool for innovation
- How to use voices and bodies when composing music
- How to tell stories with music
- How to talk about music and to reflect on the use of music as a means of expression
The outcome of the project in this course is presented in terms of exercises focusing on innovation, creativity and collaboration.
During the week the participants compose their own music together with a professional composer.
They transfer their compositions to four professional musicians and in the end of the course there is a concert at the University College South with the participants in the course and the professional musicians.

- To develop methods for working with music and innovation
- To create bridge-building between the professional musical scene and the educational world
- To work with composition with children who don`t have any knowlegde of traditional musical craftsmanship
- To work with making the children capable of handing their musical compositions over to the professional musicians
